• The utility acquired over 9,000 streetlight assets from Southern
California Edison. MVU has converted all street lights within its service
territory to LED fixtures. It is expected that the conversion to LED
technology will save over 2.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity, and
eliminate almost 600 metric tons of CO2 from the environment.

                                            • MVU has improved electrical distribution reliability and power
restoration efficiency by installing electrical backbone infrastructure
as part of the Alessandro Crosstown Tie Project. Conduit, cable, and
electrical facilities were installed along Alessandro Blvd. and Heacock
St. This project allows for the transfer of electrical load from various
interconnect sites to the Moreno Valley Substation. Additionally, the
project installed conduit that facilitates future fiber optic improvements
as well as enables future additional traffic signal coordination along
                                              Alessandro Blvd.

                                            • MVU service territory received additional improvement with the
completion of the Heacock Crosstown Tie Project. It will facilitate the
transfer of electrical load from interconnect sites near or at capacity
                                              to the Kitching Substation.

                                            • For fiscal year 19/20, MVU plans to continue to improve redundancy
and operational flexibility with three electrical distribution line extension
projects. New equipment will be installed along Day St., Indian St., and
Bay Ave. to support load growth for new development and provide
additional points of grid connection to expedite restoration of service
