MVU has several programs available to help customers pay their monthly electric bill.

        Level Payment Plan

Energy use changes from month to month and so does the energy bill. Both may go up or down with changes in
the weather and the way appliances, lights, and other devices in the home or business are used. When a customer
signs up for MVU’s Level Payment Plan, the customer’s annual energy costs are estimated and payments are
spread evenly throughout the year. This gives customers more control over their monthly bill and protects them
        from seasonal cost peaks.

        Energy Bill Assistance

This rate reduction program provides income-qualified families a discount on their monthly electric bill. Eligibility
for the program is based on the number of full-time residents in the household and the total gross income of all
        household members.

        Medical Baseline Plan

The Medical Baseline Plan provides an additional 16.5 kilowatt-hours of electricity each day at the lowest rate to
help offset the cost of operating medical equipment used to sustain life or relied upon for mobility. These include
respirators, iron lungs, hemodialysis machines, suction machines, electric nerve stimulators, pressure pads
and pumps, aerosol tents, electrostatic and ultrasonic nebulizers, compressors, IPPB machines, kidney dialysis
        machines, and motorized wheelchairs.

        Utility Tax Exemption

To be eligible for the Utility Tax Exemption, all residents of the household must have a combined gross income less
than that specified as 65% of median household income for the County of Riverside as defined annually by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
