MORENO VALLEY, CA (July 2, 2026) -- The City of Moreno Valley has once again been recognized for excellence in public communication, earning an Excellence in Public Information & Communications (EPIC) Award from the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) during CAPIO's annual conference.

The City of Moreno Valley reminds residents and visitors to plan ahead for temporary road closures during its annual Fourth of July Parade & FunFest on Saturday, July 4.

This year's parade theme, "Stars, Stripes, and Stories: 250 Years of Freedom," celebrates America's semiquincentennial and is expected to draw thousands of spectators. 

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on Frederick Street at Alessandro Boulevard and proceeds north before turning west onto Towngate Boulevard. The parade is expected to conclude by noon.

To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, the following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon: 

• Frederick Street between Centerpoint Drive and Cactus Avenue 
• Towngate Boulevard between Frederick Street and Heritage Way 
• Towngate Boulevard between Heritage Way and Memorial Way/Eucalyptus Avenue 
• Brabham Street between Frederick Street and Andretti Street 
• Eucalyptus Avenue between Pan Am Boulevard and Kochi Drive 
• Atlantic Circle east of Frederick Street 
• Dracaea Avenue between Pan Am Boulevard and Kochi Drive 
• Cottonwood Avenue between Pan Am Boulevard and Dunhill Drive 
• Bay Avenue between Courage Street and Kristina Court 
• Alessandro Boulevard between Elsworth Street and Graham Street 
• Brodiaea Avenue between Frederick Street and Graham Street 
• Resource Way between Corporate Way and Frederick Street 
• Corporate Way between Calle San Juan de Los Lagos and Resource Way 
• Calle San Juan de Los Lagos between Veterans Way and Frederick Street 
• Veterans Way between Cactus Avenue and Alessandro Boulevard 
• Newhope Drive between Elsworth Street and Veterans Way 
• Goldencrest Drive between Elsworth Street and Veterans Way 

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the morning hours to avoid delays.

Following the parade, the celebration continues at the Civic Center Amphitheater, 14075 Frederick St., during the City's annual FunFest. 

Event Schedule 

• 3:00 p.m. – Gates open (beer garden, food vendors, and Youth/Kid Zone) 
• 3:45 p.m. – National Anthem and Presentation of Colors 
• 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Live entertainment 
• 8:30 p.m. – Gates close 
• 9:00 p.m. – Aerial fireworks show 

Residents are encouraged to arrive early and allow extra travel time throughout the day.

Cierres de Calles en Moreno Valley por el Desfile y FunFest del 4 de Julio

MORENO VALLEY, CA (2 de julio de 2026) --La Ciudad de Moreno Valley recuerda a los residentes y visitantes que planifiquen con anticipación debido a los cierres temporales de calles durante el Desfile y FunFest anual del 4 de julio, que se llevará a cabo el sábado 4 de julio.

El tema del desfile de este año, "Estrellas, Franjas e Historias: 250 Años de Libertad", celebra el 250.º aniversario de Estados Unidos y se espera que atraiga a miles de espectadores.

El desfile comenzará a las 9:30 a.m. sobre Frederick Street, a la altura de Alessandro Boulevard, avanzará hacia el norte y posteriormente girará hacia el oeste sobre Towngate Boulevard. Se prevé que concluya alrededor del mediodía.

Para garantizar la seguridad de los participantes y asistentes, las siguientes calles permanecerán cerradas de 6:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m.:

Al concluir el desfile, la celebración continuará en el Anfiteatro del Centro Cívico, ubicado en 14075 Frederick St., con el FunFest anual de la Ciudad.
