Moreno Valley Public Library Now Offers Kanopy

For immediate release: September 14, 2021

Moreno Valley Public Library (MVPL)’s digital offerings just got better with the addition of a new video streaming service – Kanopy.

With your library card and PIN, you can now enjoy free access to over 30,000 critically acclaimed movies, documentaries and kids favorites through Kanopy. Kanopy is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and Android. You can also access Kanopy on your desktop, and smartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick.

Kanopy’s selection offers something for everyone including film titles you will not find anywhere else, new releases and award-winning features, foreign films, documentaries and more. Kanopy also features video courses on subjects ranging from dog training to yoga, money management skills to robotics – and everything in between.

In addition, Kanopy’s dedication to thoughtful entertainment also includes educational and engaging videos for children of all ages through Kanopy Kids. Parents can trust that the selection of films and TV shows are high quality videos that encourage social and emotional development, promote respect for community diversity, and inspire creativity.

To help manage binge-watching, Library cardholders are allotted 20 tokens a month. Visit the eBooks & Resources webpage to get started.
