MVU SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY WITH VALUABLE INFORMATION

        THE CORONAVIRUS, COVID-19
Coronavirus spreads by tiny droplets of moisture from someone who is symptomatic or asymptomatic.
Symptoms include fever, shortness of breath, coughing and fatigue. The virus can spread when droplets
are coughed or sneezed into the air near another person or transferred by direct contact, such as a kiss
        or handshake.
HOW TO AVOID INFECTION OF YOURSELF OR OTHERS
          • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
          • Stay home. Only travel for essential services.
          • Stay home when you are sick.
          • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
          • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning
             spray or wipe.
          • Follow recommendations from Riverside County health officials regarding face coverings:
o Cover nose and mouth when leaving home for essential travel to doctor appointments, grocery
                 shopping, or pharmacy visits.
o Face coverings do not have to be hospital-grade but need to cover the nose and mouth.
Bandanas, fabric masks, and neck gaiters are acceptable.
          • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the
bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
          • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60%
alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
