Home Improvement Loan Program (HILP)

The Home Improvement Loan Program (HILP) is a low-interest loan program designed to assist with exterior and interior home improvements. It offers a maximum loan amount of $40,000 and a 3% simple interest rate. The loan term is 20 years, and both the principal and accrued interest is deferred for the life of the loan. There are no monthly payments.

Certain program qualifications apply. The property must be owner-occupied. The homeowner must have owned and resided in the property for a minimum of one year prior to receiving assistance. There must be sufficient equity in the property. Household income cannot exceed 80% of the current area median income, based on household size. Please refer to the income limit chart.
