City receives Excellence Award for Information Technology Practices

For the fourth consecutive year, the City of Moreno Valley has received the Award for Excellence in Information Technology Practices from the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC).

The award means that the City’s Technology Services Division has demonstrated excellence in the areas of Budgeting, Purchasing, Operations & Staffing, Customer Satisfaction, Internet, Project Management, Professional Development & Training, Disaster Preparation & Recovery, and Security.

“This is the sixth year that MISAC has recognized Moreno Valley for its information technology practices, and the fourth year of achievement at the highest level awarded by MISAC,” said Steve Elam, Administrative Services Director.

Moreno Valley's Technology Services Division is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the City's computer network and telecommunications systems, as well as providing support for a wide array of computer applications that support the City’s operations.

MISAC represents technology professionals in all of the cities and special districts within California. The organization also serves as an advisory body to the League of California Cities.
