Mission Statement
The Mission of Maintenance & Operations Division is to maintain public infrastructure and provide quality services in a reliable, responsible, and effective manner that enhances public trust and community pride.
The Maintenance and Operations Division maintains the City's streets, curb and gutters, sidewalks, residential trees in the right-of-way, catch basins and miscellaneous drainage facilities, street sweeping, graffiti removal, and the City’s fleet and facilities programs.
Additionally, the Maintenance and Operations Division responds to emergency situations, including severe storms, to provide a safer environment to the community.

Street Maintenance
The Street Maintenance Program maintains over 1,000 lane miles of street including weed/litter abatement, pothole repair, crack sealing, street reconstruction, shoulder repair/grading, and illegal dumping.
Storm Drain Maintenance
The Storm Drain Program monitors and cleans the City’s storm water drainage system, with approximately 2,200 catch basins inspected/cleaned each year. This program assists the City in meeting its National Pollutants Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES ) compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act.

Tree Maintenance
The Tree Program maintains the trees within residential street rights-of-way. Please contact the Maintenance and Operations Division when you see a residential tree obscuring vehicular vision, blocking pedestrian travel on sidewalks, or causing damage to public infrastructure.
Concrete Maintenance
The Concrete Program removes and replaces damaged sidewalk and damaged curb and gutter. This program also prevents trip hazards by placing asphalt ramping or grinding as sidewalk trip hazards are reported.
Please contact the Maintenance and Operations Division when you see a potential trip hazard along City sidewalks or curb and gutters.
Graffiti Removal
The Graffiti Program provides services seven days per week for removal of graffiti from public and private property visible from the public right-of-way. The goal of the program is to remove graffiti within 24 hours of a location being reported.
Vehicle/Equipment Maintenance
The Vehicle/Equipment Program maintains the City’s fleet that includes vehicles and equipment with gasoline, diesel, propane, and natural gas powered engines. This program is also involved in providing fuel, vehicle replacement, and after-hour emergency response repairs.
